Employed

So, this week, in a complete 180 degree turn from last, was extremely eventful. Last week, I spent much of my time eating and sleeping and playing videogames at home. Now I eat and sleep at work! Yay! Becky got hooked up with a job! I'm temping til October at this huge law firm. The building that I work in is absolutely gorgeous with a fantastic view of the ocean (I think it's the ocean, as I'm over on the Westside or maybe it's the river...?). The Statue of Liberty is in full view. The whole area is really pretty and supremely clean! Well, it's right by the old WTC, and in the building adjacent to the Dow Jones and that whole Wall Street area. So yeah, it's really pretty.

Work itself is not too eventful yet. I got here an hour ago and managed to accomplish nothing but getting my photo ID. This is not because I am being lazy. It's actually because noone has anything for me to do yet. Mostly I'll be doing some filing and database entry and stuff like that. Not too exciting. But they pay me well plus I get overtime pay for anything over 40hours. As of now, I feel like I'm being paid to check my email and look up personal stuff online on a nicer computer than I have at home. It's excellent! I do wish that things would pick up though. If I'm working, I wanna feel like I'm doing something useful, you know?

Going to Hartford for the weekend for the roomies' birthday~ Tonight is the Harry Potter premire. On the train this morning, there were two girls in full Griffindor quidditch outfits. One of them was even carrying a Firebolt. Yep. Tonight should be interesting~
